Mr. Sami Saadi – Co-Founder, Co-CEO. Sami is an independent CPA for Companies and NGO’s. Sami was a founder of the Jewish-Arab Technological Village in the Galilee, an NGO that promoted equal employment opportunities for Israeli Arabs. Sami is active in several social and cultural NGO’s for coexistence, including “Shchenim” (Neighbors). Sami earned his master and diploma as Certified Public Accountant from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Mr. Paz Hirschmann – Co-CEO. Paz joined Tsofen in August 2011 after holding a number of managerial positions in Ness Technologies and the Clalit Health Services for approximately 12 years. He was also the Vice President of the startup ISYS. Paz has a Masters Degree in Management, and he is a graduate of the Mandel Leadership Institute.

Ms. Lujain Adawi-Abd Elrazek – Recruitment and Student Programs Coordinator. Lujain joined Tsofen in January 2015. Previously she worked at Kav Mashve, where she coordinated relationships with employers. She has experience in guiding candidates in their job search, preparing them for interviews, and placing Arab candidates in positions throughout a variety of industries. She holds a BA in Psychology with a concentration in Business Administration from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya.
Ms. Stephanie Bishara – Placement and Mentorship Program Coordinator. Stephanie joined Tsofen in 2015. She holds a BA in Communications from Emek Izrael College. Stephanie accompanies Tsofen candidates throughout the employment search process, and also recruits students to join Tsofen’s Mentorship Program. Outside of Tsofen, Stephanie works as a digital media consultant for the Arab community. She previously worked in the hospitality field for 6 years.
Ms. Beth Dotan is the Compliance Officer/Project Administrator for the MEPI (Middle Eastern Partnership Initiative) grant in the Resource Development Team at Tsofen. She was formally the Director of the International Department at the Ghetto Fighters’ House Holocaust and Jewish Resistance Heritage Museum in the Western Galilee, Israel, and was the Founding Executive Director of The Institute for Holocaust Education (IHE) in Omaha, Nebraska for 13 years. Beth has a BA is in History and Hebrew and an MA in Jewish Education, Curriculum and Instruction. Beth also has a certificate in Museum Studies from Haifa University.
Mr. Harris Engelmann – Resource Development Coordinator. Before joining Tsofen, Harris served as a New Israel Fund/Shatil Social Justice Fellow, with placements as the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator for the Social Guard and as a Programming Associate in the Local Politics Department of the Shaharit Think Tank. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in German Literature and International and Area Studies, Harris lived and volunteered in a primarily Ethiopian-Israeli lower-income neighborhood in Gedera as part of the Yahel Social Change Program.
Ms. Suheir Ghraib-Eid – Office Manager. Suheir joined Tsofen in March 2012. She was head of the Liaison Bureau in the Northern Region Court Hall and the Israel Bar Association for 8 years. Suheir also worked as head secretary in the Nazareth Campus of the Joint College, and was a coordinator and a lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Interior Design. Prior to that, Suheir worked as a clerk in the Nazareth branch of Bank Leumi. Suheir has a degree in Architectural Engineering and Accounting, and a diploma in Theology.
Mr. Islam Hag Yahya – Placement Coordinator at Tsofen’s Center in the Triangle. Islam joined Tsofen in early 2014 after working many years in a large communications company, holding various positions such as technical support, shift management, and operations. Islam is completing his BA in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies at Ariel University, and has also completed coursework in law.
Ms. Walaa Ibrahim – Placement Coordinator.
Mr. Maher Kabha – Recruitment and Training Coordinator at Tsofen’s Center in the Triangle. Maher joined Tsofen in early 2014. He studied Business Administration at the College of Management. Maher brings a wealth of experience in recruitment and placement, having worked for 5 years at Manpower where he recruited Arab citizens of Israel for a variety of positions.
Ms. Katie Karkaby – Recruitment and Training Team Leader. Katie is a graduate of Human Resources and Communication from the University of Haifa, and joined Tsofen in July 2011.
Mr. David Kellen – Resource Development Team Leader. David joined Tsofen in October, 2014. Previously, he directed IPCRI’s Department of Strategic Affairs, providing policy proposals and research to both Israeli and Palestinian negotiators during the Annapolis Process. David also worked at the Truman Institute for the Advancement of Peace, where he carried out research on the use of peacekeeping operations in the Israeli-Palestinian context. David holds an MA in conflict resolution from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a BA in the same subject from Claremont McKenna College, Los Angeles.
Ms. Ranin Saleh – Recruitment and Training Coordinator. Ranin joined Tsofen in April 2014. She holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Educational Consulting from Haifa University. Before Tsofen she worked as a group facilitator in a project empowering young women in Arab society.
Mr. Benzi Segev – Director of Business Development. Benzi has over a decade of experience in managing business development and sales activities in hi-tech and credit risk information companies. He holds a BA in Computer Science and Management, and an MBA from the University of Haifa.
Ms. Tal Nada Shalabi – Project Management Officer. Nada is a senior project manager with vast experience in product and software development, as well as an entrepreneur, having founded an online consulting platform. She has over 12 years of experience in team management and software engineering at different Israeli startup companies, and at Sandisk. Together with other Arab females Nada established the first Arab female technology forum in Israel: “Hiya-Tech”, and she has been active in several programs for Jewish and Arabs dialogue. Nada received her Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management and Tel Aviv University, and her B.Sc in Software Engineering from the Technion in 2005.
Ms. Jasmine Tamuz – Recruitment and Training Coordinator. Jasmine has a background in dialogue facilitation for teenagers in Palestinian-Israeli organizations (Seeds of Peace, Hands of Peace). After graduating with a degree in Computer Science and Linguistics from Tel Aviv University, Jasmine worked for several years as a software developer in various hi-tech companies in Herzliya. In 2015, she decided to return to her first passion and has since joined Tsofen’s recruitment team where she is able to combine her hi-tech background with Tsofen’s mission of working towards a shared society.
Mr. Ido Viron – Technology Lead. Ido joined Tsofen in June 2014, after a decade in hi-tech in various development, product and project management positions. Ido holds a BS in Computer Science from the Academic College in Tel Aviv –Yaffo. Ido worked in a variety of start-ups in the areas of digital signage, online media, broadcast graphics, and GIS, and enjoys the connection between technology and people. Ido also holds a degree in acting and improvisation and he performs and teaches.
Ms. Avital Yanovsky – Business Development Manager. Avital is responsible for forming relationships with hi-tech and hi-tech support companies and familiarizing them with Tsofen’s work and with the human capital potential in the Triangle. She holds a degree in Computer Science from Bar Ilan University and has over 20 years of experience in the hi-tech industry, ranging from program development, project management and management of international groups. In recent years she has focused on project management in the area of workforce diversification, working with the 40+ population and people with disabilities.
Ms. Ruthy Zamir – Placement Manager. Ruthy is responsible for Tsofen’s placement, as well as the Tsofen and Ma’antech Mentoring Program. She recruits the mentors and mentees, develops and builds the program plans and meetings, follows up on the progress of each couple, coaches and advises on an ongoing basis. Ruthy joined Tsofen after serving as VP HR at Spiral Solutions for 9 years. Ruthy is involved in voluntary activities & projects in her home region and her community.
